I've been so enjoying painting with acrylics. I had tried before but was never satisfied either with the process or the finished project. This time however, I first started using them in a very free and undefined way, intuitively, just slapping on paint and seeing what happened.
In this painting I used more of a purposeful approach. I knew before I began, what I wanted to paint and I had a photo that I had taken a few years ago. I kept reminding
myself not to get to fussy and to stay loose. I very pleased with the outcome.

I seem to be on a roll right now and I'm just going to go with it. Really enjoying working with acrylics at this time. I've tried them before but wasn't satisfied with what I did. I think that my new approach is working for me. Just attack the canvas and see where it goes.

Some recent new paintings after being gone for a while.
I've been experimenting with acrylics in what I call "intuitive" style, which simply means I have no plan when I start laying paint on the canvas and wait until the painting "speaks" to me and tell me what it wants to be.
